What an amazing experience! If you have the money, I absolutely recommend going. It'll pretty much change your life. The whole trip was absolutely larger-than-life, and I met so many great people. It's not hard to book a reservation; there are ships leaving for Antarctica from Ushuaia, Argentina all the time, and the facilities on the boat are pretty decent.
On my trip, there were 96 passengers and 44 staff/crew members. We all got pretty acquainted during the 10 day cruise, and everyone I met was so cultured and well-travelled.
Honestly, I don't believe I could live my whole life without going back to Antarctica. Plus, a couple people on the boat were talking about how the continent is probably gonna be ruined pretty soon because of everyone's never ending quest for money and power. Let's face it, there's probably minerals and oils among other natural resources just waiting to be tapped. So go now before you lose your chance.
